This is so everyone can know how I'm doing this summer while I'm out and about. I'll post VBS mayhem here and posts about working at M-Fuge for a few weeks.
Well, I made it through the summer. I survived…barely. LOL. To summarize my final week at camp, I spent Sunday and most of Monday sick in bed, Wednesday night in the ER, Thursday in bed, and the remainder of the week feeling like crap.
So on my way to my first meeting with my campers, I found out that I was going to be doing Social this week! What an exciting change!! I was so missing out on going to a nursing home this summer, and now I get to go! YAY!! This week started out a little shaky, but things are looking really good now!! This has potential to be an even better week than last week (which is quite the task). I can’t express how glad I am that we get to go to a nursing home tomorrow…my group might think I’m a bit crazy, but I’m just really excited!
Pray for opportunities to be intentional with my students this week. I look forward to them…
Well, last week at Samford…sad day. :o( Pray for the campers, adults, and site kids. I get to go back to the same site this week. Very excited to see how God will continue to work there.
Just pray that I will be able to be used by God in a mighty way this week.
Ok, so…this has been the best week at site ever!!! I’m so thankful for a group of students and adults who are willing to lay it all out on site everyday. I mean this group works so hard at site that I have to drag some of them back to the vans. It’s been SUCH a blessing!!
Hey guys! Just wanted you all to know what’s going on this week. After the first night, I’ve realized that this is another week with many hurts. Please keep my campers in your prayers. I have several that don’t know what it is to be a Christian or how to do so. Pray specifically tomorrow, as I will be getting further into detail about what that means. Pray for them this week.
Just want to share that Week 2 has been a week filled with all kinds of emotions: good and bad. It’s Christmas Week, which is always fun. Needless to say, Christmas has been amazing!
After much confusion about whether I would make it to the end of the week or not, I triumphed in the end and made it through. By far, this week takes the grand prize for roughest week of camp…ever. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but it sure was hectic, intense, and at times I thought I was going to die. LOL.
So, things have been pretty crazy. To start things off on the first night of camp I TOTALLY bombed my MTET lesson (the intro for the week and planning time with the group). I was so rusty and just not prepared for it. I was so scatter-brained. I thought to myself…”Oh well, tomorrow will be better”. Boy I was in for a surprise.
